a good way to not get dust on the back is to put the masking tape on Glad bake / Cooking Paper. plus it will come off it when you want to put it on a cube piece

Maybe you could use a mass produced mixup cube and barrel it on three axes so it jumbled but doesn't shapeshift.

NathanWilson Once I did something similar to this for a 1×1, I used sticky labels and coloured them with a marker.
Hit 'em with a layer of primer
Why go through all this hassle just print them out on an A4 cut them out and stick them with a two sided tape..
Please do not do this. Better to pick up pennies and buy dem stickers
